3.5 Stars A fast paced story that will keep you interested.
"College student Joe Talbert has the modest goal of completing a writing assignment for an English class. His task is to interview a stranger and write a brief biography of the person. With deadlines looming, Joe heads to a nearby nursing home to find a willing subject. There he meets Carl Iverson, and soon nothing in Joe's life is ever the same"
The characters are well drawn and especially Joe's dysfunctional family and I was very touched by Joe's relationship with his autistic brother. The character of Carl and Lila were very believable and the story was fast paced and interesting.
I would have rated this book higher but did find elements of the story a little too contrived and not very believable.
I listened to this one on audible and the narrator certainly added to the story.
