Americanah

Americanah - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie 2.5 Stars

Americanah is an interesting dissection of race in the UK and USA but it is not a novel that I will remember a year from now or a novel that I will recommended to friends. It's just one of those books that when asked Did you read Americanah ? my answer will be oh yeah! Easy read, but not very compelling and a little too drawn out.

I read this as a summer book club read and the book Is well written and address many important issues, however it lacked any real drama or excitement for me. It's basically a love story and was quite predictable and unsatisfying read. An ok read but certainly not one for my favourites shelf.

I read this for Summer Bookclub read so It may work well as a discussion book.
