The Paris Wife by Paula McLain was a disappointing read for me. I was a bit hesitant about reading this book as I did not have much interest in the characters to begin with and to be honest on completing the novel I am afraid I had less interest.
This Novel is about Hadley Richardson who is a quiet twenty-eight-year-old and in 1920 meets and falls in love with Ernest Hemingway and her life changes forever. Following a short romance and wedding the couple sail for a new life in Paris, where they meet and form friendships with people like Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, and F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald. This book details the life Ernest and Hadley Hemingway and their travels in Paris, Spain, Austria and the South of France. It a bit like celebrity life of modern times.
I found the characters annoying and just could not put up with much more of Hadley's passiveness.
The plot of this novel was quite limited and really did not hold my interest.
To sum it up, I did not learn anything from this book and I did not like the characters or the plot
